Moms: How do you set your priorities during this season of change?
I’m still in shock: How did it become October? How is fall break next week? Where did our summer go?
I haven’t blogged in more than two weeks. So here’s a quick recap: School, work, golf, school, soccer, work, karate, school, lazy weekend day at grandparents, visits to friends, laundry, laundry, laundry.
I know I’m not alone when I say some days just go by and I wonder how anything got accomplished. But with the holidays (eek!) upon us and dear friends moving soon, I want to be more intentional with my time.
The answer may be in saying “No” to the extras. I really want to do more at our church right now, but there will be another time. We really want to organize the house, but we’ve lived with it as is for a long time. Another two or three months won’t make a difference.
And don’t start me on the back yard, though I’ve taken a few steps to work on that.
I hope to spend more time with friends and family, taking photos and making memories. My calendar is filling up too quickly, but I’m trying to be more deliberate with the priorities.
Moms, what are your priorities this time of year?
