There are spiders all over my living room, and my kitchen, and outside to greet guests.
Yes, Halloween is just around the corner.
My kids love to decorate the house. I do too, though I’m not always on my game. Sometimes holiday decor is up the month before. Sometimes it goes up just a few days earlier.
This year, I did get them up in early October. And last weekend, my mother-in-law gave me a few more, adding to our “spider” theme. Most of the decorating is with window clings. They’re on an otherwise empty frame, the back of my “leaves” placemats, a few pictures and a mirror.
Each of the last four years, we’ve also gathered friends for a Halloween craft party. A “spooky house” is ready to be decorated, as are pumpkin-shaped rice treats.
You don’t think I’m overdoing it, do you?
Nah. I’ll save that for Christmas.
