Welcome Monday, I mean Tuesday

Posted by on February 19, 2013 – 11:45 am

You would think it was a Monday in our house. Just as we were trying to run out the door for school, my 8-year-old daughter decided to dump out her backpack. A package of crumbled graham crackers landed on the floor.
Not to be outdone – or maybe she was thinking of a yummy snack – my 2-year-old knocked over a glass of milk. Yes, she dumped it on top of the graham crackers.
Since we were running late, I threw a towel over the entire mess (we have faux wood floors), picked up what I could and left the rest to clean when I returned.
Then we all went out to the car and I started to put my youngest in her car seat.
Did I know she didn’t have pants on? Probably. But I slapped me in the face at that moment.
“Mom, I naked!” she declared.
We remedied that really quick and everyone got to their destinations before the bells rang.
The good thing about not having a real “Monday” to deal with this week is that Friday comes all the sooner.

Thankfully, it was a short week. Sometimes those seem to be the toughest! Thanks for sharing your journey and for looking at it with an eye for humor. That makes all the difference, doesn’t it?
