Spring break blues? Hit the pool
After hearing, “I’m bored” and “There’s nothing to do” by 8 a.m. Monday (the first day of spring break), I began to wonder how we would get through the week. Thanks to some helpful parents (thank you, dad!) and friends, we’ve made it to Friday.
The kids spent three days with friends and one day with Papa. The only “boring” day I heard about was Tuesday, when they were stuck with me. But even that only lasted a while. A trip to the library cleared up the spring break blues quickly.
Now that my last story is turned in, I’m giving the kids a reward – a trip to the public pool.
Yes, in Arizona, during spring break, it’s warm enough to hit the pool. In fact, it’s record warm. Yesterday it was 93 degrees.
Now we’re searching for the sunscreen and suits that have been packed away for months before we leave the house. It’s been a great spring break.
Wait. It’s not done yet. They have next week, too.
I’ll figure it out.
