A “cut” above the rest

Ride Along with the Mesa Police during Operation STEAM

Last Friday night I rode along with Mesa Police Operation STEAM officers who patrol the streets looking for teens up to no good.  Many ride-alongs I have been on end up with nothing happening, say a media curse.  Not this time.  For the eight hour ride along officer Craig Garcia was constantly busy, either stopping a vehicle for a violation or helping respond to a scene where other officers were working.

Early November can’t come soon enough for those wanting to see Tempe Town Lake return.  While the water is gone, it is giving City of Tempe  workers time to clean out the junk that has accumulated in the water over the years.
