While I uploaded my last few photos from tonight’s high school football match up between Mesa’s Desert Ridge and Tempe’s Corona del Sol (live coverage and discussion over at varsity.evtrib.com), I thought I would share one of my few lightning photos. It’s taken me about 4 years as a staff photographer but I’ve finally caught one of these things in a neat setting:

So I ran into a situation last Friday night after grocery shopping and I thought I’d share with you.
After leaving the store with a cart full of food, I found myself watching a pretty good lightning show in the northwest part of town.
