As a photographer there are many compute programs that can be used to showcase projects.  Soundslides is program which allows for adding voice/music to still images.  Before importing the images and sound into the program they must first be edited.  It is a great format for bringing both sound and images together.  When I first started using the program about four years ago I quickly wanted to learn more and it was then I started getting interested in shooting video.

Yesterday a buddy and I took a road trip in search of fall colors, and 12 hours and 520 miles later I’ve got NOTHING to show for it! I guess several things led up to it. Today the Greater Phoenix Area received another excessive heat warning by the National Weather Service and it looks like it will go on through the weekend. Expect temps from 108 to 114. Hmmm, sounds like a great time to be out taking photos of people staying cool.

I really need to remember to carry flip-flops in my car, my socks and shoes are still drying out.

The almost total lack of torrential rains this monsoon season has me missing the annual wild weather art. This time last year the photo staff was busy tracking and documenting the havoc unleashed across the East Valley by powerful storms. Sadly this year I’m excited just to see a build up of clouds on the horizon. Tuesday I set out to shoot the clouds and found a nice spot close to the Chandler Municipal Airport.
