Epic Games celebrates 20 years with epic tunes

The folks at Epic Games are celebrating their 20th anniversary of making video games with a musical gift to their loyal community. On Thursday they released a 20-track collection of songs from numerous games they have produced over the years for absolutely free.

Irradiate Phoenix for a chance to see <em>Chernobyl Diaries</em>

Arizonans may be used to Ignite Phoenix, but have never had a chance to irradiate it. Oren Peli’s latest foray into horror thrillers Chernobyl Diaries is now giving fans an opportunity to do just that (theoretically of course) in order to get a special screening of the film to visit their town.

Free DLC to hit <em>Operation Raccoon City</em>

The latest installment of the Resident Evil gaming franchise, Operation Raccoon City,will be getting an injection of new downloadable content on Tuesday.
According to a recent Capcom release, the new DLC mission is specifically for the good guys this time around. Players will get the chance to work on the side of the US Spec Ops squad and attempt to recover evidence of Umbrella’s connection to the zombie outbreak in the city.
The best part is that the new content will be absolutely free once it drops on Xbox Live and PlayStation …

‘Metal Gear’ creator Hideo Kojima to speak at Smithsonian GameFest

The upcoming Art of Video Games exhibit at the Smithsonian American Art Museum plans to debut with guns blazing, which includes industry big gun Hideo Kojima speaking as a part of their three-day GameFest kickoff for the exhibition in March.
The museum officially confirmed via press release on Tuesday that the noted Metal Gear Solid series director will be speaking on March 17 in his own “A Conversation With Hideo Kojima” panel. The panel will be free to attend but registration will be limited.
