Redshirts, Avengers, Lannisters big winners at science fiction’s Hugo Awards
John Scalzi’s comedic sci-fi novel Redshirts took the best novel prize at the 2013 Hugo Awards, presented Sunday at LoneStarCon, the 71st World Science Fiction convention in San Antonio.
The Avengers, directed and written by Joss Whedon, was awarded the Hugo for best long-form dramatic presentation, while Game of Thrones’ penultimate second-season episode “Blackwater” by George R.R. Martin was named best short-form dramatic presentation.
