2013 Phoenix Comicon: Plan to party at panel parleys

Posted by on May 13, 2013 – 6:15 pm

2013 Phoenix ComiconThe glitzy show floor of the comic convention, packed with artists, authors and pop culture eye candy of every assortment, is usually the first stop for most con attendees; but there is a wonderful world beyond the exhibition hall that is just waiting to be discovered and some never make it past the hypnotizing hype of hundreds of vendors displaying their wares.

If you are new to the comicon experience or if you have never ventured past the main show room, then make plans to take in some of the delightful discussion panels that are located just above the main floor of the Phoenix Comicon, where you’ll find fun and informative talks on everything from “Advanced Digital Inking” to “Zombies in the Classroom.”

There are subjects to suit the eccentric tastes of everyone who attends the comicon and there’s no better way to rest your convention-weary feet than to sit in on a lively debate over the merits of Star Wars: Episode One or some other controversial pop culture concern.

Below is a small sampling of some of the panel programming available at the 2013 Phoenix Comicon. You can peruse the entire schedule of events at phoenixcomicon.com/programming and you can even use their handy “Conquest” planning tool to map out your con events for the entire weekend.
