2nd Friday hosts ‘Cosplay Promenade on Main’
The weather is fantastic, so why not throw on your favorite genre themed duds, head to Main Street in Mesa, and hang out with other zombies and robots, Steampunks and Stormtroopers, Harijuku girls and harmless six-foot bunnies?
“Cosplay Promenade on Main” is the theme for March’s 2nd Friday art walk event in downtown Mesa, where over 60 local artisans will be showing their wares, and costumed players of every ilk will be mingling amongst the live music and eclectic shops and restaurants on Main Street. It’s the perfect place to “see or be seen.”
If you plan to participate in the costumed cavortations, there will be a costume contest at the OneOhOne Gallery (101 West Main Street) at 8:00 p.m. It’s free to enter and you could win awesome prizes donated by downtown Mesa merchants.
The award winning 2nd Friday event runs from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. on March 14, 2014, in historic downtown Mesa (0 – 300 West Main Street.) The show happens with a different theme on the “2nd Friday” of every month and is free to attend and to participate as an artist. Go to 2ndFridayNightOut.com for more information.
