This weekend, the Amazing Arizona Comic Con returns to the Valley, at the Phoenix Convention Center, Friday, January 25 through Sunday, January 27. Comic legends Stan Lee and Jim Lee are scheduled to attend, with many other guests from the comic book industry. See update below…

“We are really excited to kick off comic book convention season by bringing two of the most high-profile creators of the last 70 years to the Amazing Arizona Comic Convention in Phoenix,” said Jimmy Jay, co-owner of Jay Company Comics and promoter of Amazing Arizona Comic Con. “With two successful shows under our belt, we have decided to move to one of the biggest convention venues in the Valley for 2013, and we plan to give our fans another memorable show with our best guest line-up yet.”

Among the scheduled events, Sunday is Kids’ Day, featuring Mat Nastos – one of the artists behind the Disney Channel’s Phineas and Ferb. Nastos will do free sketches for kids 10 and under.

With its emphasis on comic book culture, the Amazing Arizona Comic Con promises to be a show for die-hard fans and those just curious about the comic con phenomenon.
