Caped Crusader, cringing canine to meet again

1 September 2010 No Comments Jayson Peters

Scooby-Doo and Batman will meet again for the first time since their early-’70s team up in two episodes of The New Scooby-Doo Movies.

The crossover comes in a forthcoming episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold on Cartoon Network — where the mystery-solving pooch is currently starring in the series Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. Scooby-newbies can catch up with that latest incarnation of the 40-year-old cartoon this Saturday with a marathon viewing of the first eight episodes (read more about that in my post for Wired’s GeekDad blog). It’s got a darker, more self-referential tone than some other incarnations of the franchise — and something even resembling character development, if you’ll believe it.
