Days of Future Past indeed: Bryan Singer may direct X-Men: First Class sequel

[media-credit name="Marvel/Fox" align="alignleft" width="124"][/media-credit]Deadline reports that X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn has backed out of the sequel, Days of Future Past, leaving producer and mutant movie pioneer Bryan Singer on the short list of possible replacements to helm to much-anticipated follow-up.

Singer directed 2000′s X-Men and 2003′s X-2: X-Men United.
