Harkins Theatres showing Oscar-nominated short films

OscarShortsHave you ever watched the annual Academy Awards show and felt completely in the dark when the categories for “Best Short” films come up? Well, our local Harkins Theatres can remedy that sense of cinematic exclusion for you with their series of Oscar nominated shorts screenings.

The Harkins Camelview 5 and Harkins Valley Art theatres are currently showing all of the Academy Award nominated short films in the categories of Live Action, Animated and Documentary Film.  The specific nominees are as follows:

Academy Award Nominated Shorts – Documentary (Valley Art)

  • Inocente (Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine)
  • Kings Point (Sari Gilman and Jedd Wider)
  • Mondays at Racine (Cynthia Wade and Robin Honan)
  • Open Heart (Kief Davidson and Cori Shepherd Stern)
  • Redemption (Jon Alpert and Matthew O’Neill)
