For the Oct. 8 Second Friday event, Evermore Nevermore owner Bob Leeper is planning to fill the south side of Main Street from Robson to MacDonald with as much “steampunk” as it can handle.

In case you’ve been living in Tajikistan for the last few years, steampunk is a popular genre that crosses all media and mixes the refined style of Victorian England with quirky elements of sci-fi and fantasy. Think Jules Verne, H.G. Wells and lots and lots of rivets and gears.
