Local Kickstarter aims to bring video gaming bar to life in Tempe
A team of three self-proclaimed nerds are spearheading a Kickstarter project to combine video games and drinking into a Tempe barcade named Endgame. The idea was founded by former ASU student Ryan Scott, who is in collaboration with Nikki DelRosso and Mike Goosens to bring the project to life.
The venue is technically already in existence, but the group is holding the Kickstarter as a means of raising money for a liquor license to complete the picture. According to the groups’ website, Endgame plans to host gaming tournaments with the help of AZHP Gaming, dozens of freeplay arcade and console games for patrons, signature video game themed drinks, and rotating menus from featured food trucks.
Endgame is set to officially open this fall pending the Kickstarter’s success, but the group will hold a promotional gaming event at the venue on June 14th, two days before the projects’ deadline. Currently they have raised just over $2,500 out of their $30,000 goal. For more information, check out the Endgame Kickstarter page.
