Deadline is reporting that Disney wants The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past scribe Simon Kinberg to work on future installments of the new Star Wars saga. Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine screenwriter Michael Arndt was recently hired to kick off the next trilogy with Episode VII.
Kasdan has further Lucasfilm writing credits, having penned Raiders of the Lost Ark. Kinberg wrote the screenplay for Sherlock Holmes.
