Disturbing logos

Some corporate logos make you stop and say “Huh?”
This one’s been bothering me for some time. It clearly is meant to be paint — anyone can see that. But still … did it have to be red? And even more worrisome, I can’t shake the impression of enormous tentacles wrapping themselves around our little planet.
