GeekMom enters the blogosphere

1 September 2010 No Comments Jayson Peters

There’s a new geek in town.

The geeks behind Wired magazine’s parenting blog GeekDad have launched GeekMom, a companion website that expands the universe of geekdom to include a female perspective. As GeekDad editor Ken Denmead explains:

To the best of my ability, I’ve always run GeekDad to be as much as parenting blog as it is a dad blog, to the point of including four wonderful geeky mom writers on our team. But it comes down to the fact that a site named GeekDad will always skew just a bit to one side of the gender line.

GeekDad has been a huge inspiration to me as a blogger and a father, and I occasionally contribute articles to the blog — so be sure to head over and show your support for GeekMom! (One of the bloggers, Jenny Williams, is an Arizona resident, so even the desert variety of geekdom is well represented.)
