Steam Crow introduces WALL MONSTERS through Kickstarter project
With Kickstarter projects littering everyone’s timelines these days, one pair of local creators are launching something truly unique with the help of crowd-funding. The Arizona-based Steam Crow, comprised of Daniel and Dawna Davis, has Kickstarted their project of hand-printed, Halloween cutouts dubbed WALL MONSTERS.
For any who are unfamiliar with the name, Steam Crow has been known up and down the west coast as one of the biggest purveyors of art pieces featuring traditional monsters such as zombies, evil pumpkins, and other unbelievably fascinating creatures. Their unique style and creations are unlike any other and have populated many a convention floor in the past several years.
The pair launched their Kickstarter project last week, detailing their goal as creating a limited run of creative cutout monsters to hang from doors and windows; breaking the Halloween mold of hanging a goofy green cardboard skeleton out front. The creatures included will be a skeleton, a bat witch, a zombie, and a scarecrow, with their Frankenstein as an added bonus. As of writing, the team has already reached their goal of $3,500, but have several stretch goals that have yet to be met.
According to their project outlines, all backers who pledged $40 or more will get at least one Wall Monster sent to them. Once backer orders are fulfilled, Steam Crow has promised to make only 100 prints of each monster to be sold to the public. Their stretch goals are at $5,500 for an assembly upgrade unlock and $6,500 to unlock an exclusive Halloween print limited to higher-tier backers only.
The project closes on June 8. For more information, check out their Kickstarter details here.
