A couple months back Nerdvana previewed the East Valley Tribune’s EVTnews app for iOS and Android devices. Now a new app has joined the family for those looking for news from Ahwatukee, the hard-to-spell corner of Phoenix nestled in the East Valley: AFNnews.

AFNnews is powered by the local news team at the Ahwatukee Foothills News. Just like the EVTnews app, it is available for Android phones running version 2.3 and later, as well as the iPhone and iPod Touch (and it’s also compatible with the iPad tablet).
