Chaparral QB Brewer commits to Texas
Posted by Kyle Odegard on February 8, 2011 – 10:05 am
Chaparral junior quarterback Connor Brewer didn’t waste much time in the recruiting process, verbally committing to Texas on Monday night, according to recruiting services Rivals.com and Scout.com.
Brewer has helped lead the Firebirds to consecutive state titles, and the team will be favorites to make it three in a row next year when he is a senior.
Brewer finished this season 148-of-222 for 2,677 yards with 37 touchdowns and six interceptions. He is the younger brother of Charles and Chase Brewer, who each played baseball collegiately.
Quarterbacks generally make their commitments earlier than other positions because many programs only take one signal caller per recruiting class.
