Mesa High submitted a report to the AIA in the wake of Jackrabbits boys basketball coach Shane Burcar’s criticism of the officiating and, subsequently, the AIA following Mesa’s loss to Brophy in the 5A Division I state semifinals.

The specifics of the report weren’t revealed by Mesa district athletic director Steve Hogen  but it was a necessity given the incidents and criticisms.

Hogen said there have been discussions with Burcar already, but it looks like Mesa is going to lay low and wait for the AIA Executive Board to make a ruling at its next meeting on Monday, March 21.
