Best in Basketball tourney back on track after power outage

Posted by on July 1, 2011 – 10:19 am

The Best in Basketball Summer Invitational was forced to cancel all of its games on Thursday because of the massive power outage that affected thousands of homes in Mesa. The tournament is being played at Red Mountain, which was very close to the site of the transformer fire that caused the issue. Former Mesquite basketball coach Tom Saltzstein, who runs the tournament, said there was thought of moving the games to McClintock, but eventually they were just called off.

The remaining schedule is expected to stay the same for today and Saturday.

The schedule can be seen here.
