An update from Valley Christian athletic director Marlin Broek, about Dillon Lackhan, the LB who was injured on a tackle during Friday night’s loss to San Tan Foothills…..
Valley Christian High School would like to thank San Tan High school coaching staff and players for conducting themselves in positive and respectful way Friday night at the football game. Dillon Lackhan, starting linebacker for VCHS,
was injured in the 3rd quarter of the game Friday night and experienced some head trauma. Trainers and paramedics worked together while San Tan Foothills coaches and players joined the Valley Christian fans in prayer. It was great sportsmanship of Roger Schenks, head coach of San Tan Foothills, to finish the game under a running clock so the VCHS coaching staff and players could go to the hospital to be with the family while Dillon was in surgery. According to the doctors, the surgery went well. We are also very grateful to the several Scottsdale Christian football players who brought water and joined us in prayer at the hospital. Dillon is still in ICU, and will be closely observed by doctors for the next several days.
