Desert Mountain healing

Posted by on October 4, 2012 – 1:56 pm

Heading into an interesting matchup with Highland – a team which beat Desert Mountain by 17 points in each of the past two years and beat the Wolves in the final seconds of their matchup in 2009 – the Wolves are not only No. 1 in power points (not that it really matters after Week 6), but getting a bit organized.

Wolves coach Tony Tabor said safety Alec Waltman is returning to health after a nagging hamstring ailment has kept the senior off the field. He played a half-dozen snaps, mostly on special teams, against North Canyon last week.

Wide receiver Cody Erickson, who lines up opposite Mark Andrews, also returns in-full after not playing for a half last week. Erickson has 20 catches for 313 yards and four touchdowns this season. Daniel Fedorka (hip) practiced in-full this week for the first time in a month.
