As the state meet creeps closer (Nov. 3) the various school districts’ swimming and diving meets are among the final tuneups.

Nearby is the Craig Cummins Invitational for the Mesa schools which began Monday at Kino Junior High School’s pool in Mesa. It’s Dobson, Mesa, Mountain View, Red Mountain, Skyline and Westwood for both boys and girls competition.  These same schools will also participate in the Mesa City HoHoKam meet on Friday and Saturday at Kino Jr. High.

The San Tan Regional meet is this weekend (Friday and Saturday) at Chandler H.S. and features a bevy of Chandler and Gilbert-vicinity schools:  Arizona College Prep, Basha, Campo Verde, Casa Grande, Coolidge, Desert Ridge, Florence, Gilbert Classical Academy, Gilbert, Hamilton, Highland, Higley, Mesquite, Perry, Poston Butte, Queen Creek, Seton Catholic, Valley Christian and Williams Field.

The Scottsdale district meet  (boys and girls) is Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Cactus Pool in Scottsdale. Teams competing are Arcadia, Chaparral, Coronado, Desert Mountain and Saguaro.
