Dobson boys hoops star Kodi Justice out first two weeks

Posted by on November 19, 2012 – 12:45 pm

Dobson small forward Kodi Justice, who is verbally committed to Arizona State, will miss the first two weeks of the season as he recovers from an ankle fracture, he said.

Justice has been walking around in a protective boot and was supposed to get it off on Saturday, but the injury needs a couple more weeks to get fully healed.

The 6-foot-4 junior averaged 15.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and  and 4.0 assists per game a season ago for the Mustangs.

With the offseason additions of point guard Jaron Hopkins and shooting guard Ryan Richardson, Dobson has been ranked the preseason No. 1 and is expected to compete for the state championship.

The Mustangs begin their season tonight against Division II No. 3  Poston Butte at 7:30 p.m. at Dobson in the Catalina Hardwood Classic.
