Among the several basketball tournaments which begin the 2012-2013 season (here we go!) is the Highland Thanksgiving Classic held between Highland and Mesquite high schools this week.

Pool A: Boulder Creek, Desert Mountain, Fairfax, Highland, Mountain Ridge; Pool B: Basha, Chaparral, Desert Ridge, Mountain Pointe, Tolleson. Pool C: Cibola, Pinnacle, Mesquite, Saguaro, Valley Vista. Pool D:  Alhambra, Flowing Wells, Hamilton, Seton Catholic, Williams Field.

MONDAY, NOV. 19

Highland High School

3 p.m.: Basha vs. Desert Ridge; 4:30 p.m.: Chaparral vs. Tolleson; 6 p.m.: Desert Mountain vs. Mountain Ridge; 7:30 p.m.: Betty Fairfax vs. Highland.

Mesquite High School

3 p.m.: Williams Field vs. Hamilton; 4:30 p.m.: Cibola vs. Pinnacle; 6 p.m.: Flowing Wells vs. Seton; 7:30 p.m.: Valley Vista vs. Mesquite.

TUESDAY, NOV. 20

Highland High School
