It’s a slow few days until school starts up again, but there’s another big wrestling tournament out at Peoria High School this weekend.

Many, many teams and many, many elite high school wrestlers will haul across the Valley for the Peoria Tournament of Champions on Friday and Saturday.

Championship matches will be held Saturday afternoon and into the early evening.

Schools participating:  Barry Goldwater, Basha, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), Cactus, Centennial, Cesar Chavez, Cholla, Cimarron Memorial (Las Vegas), Copper Canyon, Deer Valley, Desert Edge, Desert Vista, Greenway, Hamilton, Holbrook, Ironwood, Lake Havasu, Liberty, Mesquite, Mingus, Moon Valley, Mountain Ridge, North Canyon, Paradise Valley, Peoria, Raymond S. Kellis, Safford, Sandra Day O’Connor, Servite (Calif.), Sunnyside, Sunrise Mountain, Thunderbird, Verrado, Westview and Westwood.
