Hamilton, Desert Mountain land in preseason baseball national rankings

Posted by on February 19, 2013 – 10:53 am

Both Baseball America and Maxpreps have put the Hamilton baseball team among the top-25 teams nationally in their preseason rankings.

The Huskies come in at No. 21 on Baseball America’s list and No. 25 in the Maxpreps top-100.

Hamilton loses star third baseman Mitch Nay from last year’s team and some solid pitching, but has six position players back, including Oregon signee Cody Bellinger.

Desert Mountain squeaked in at No. 100 on the Maxpreps list. Division II defending champion Phoenix Sunnyslope is ranked No. 55 nationally by Maxpreps.
