Skyline boys basketball leading scorer transfers to Mesquite
Jordan Lee, who led the Skyline boys basketball team in scoring as a sophomore this year, has transferred to Mesquite, Coyotes athletic director Greg Schultz said in an email.
The 6-foot-1 point guard averaged 12.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.0 steals per game for Skyline. He averaged 8.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game as a freshman on varsity in 2011-12.
Coyotes coach Mike Wirth resigned in early February after the team finished 7-17.
The Wildcats went 11-14 a year ago and just missed the Division I state tournament. Mesquite returns leading scorer Zach Green, who averaged 17.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game as a junior this season. Former Skyline assistant Dustin Cooper is the coach at Mesquite.
