Desert Mountain WR Mark Andrews commits to Oklahoma
Desert Mountain wide receiver Mark Andrews has made a verbal commitment to Oklahoma, he announced on Twitter Friday.
Andrews was a first-team All-Tribune selection in 2012 after catching 81 passes for 1,494 yards and 21 touchdowns as a junior. He helped the Wolves to a 9-3 record and a berth in the Division I state quarterfinals.
With quarterback Kyle Allen and Andrews returning, Desert Mountain is expected to be among the contenders for this year’s title. Allen has verbally committed to Texas A&M.
Andrews was offered by a plethora of powerhouse college football programs, including Ohio State, Notre Dame and Alabama. Andrews is ranked as the state’s third-best recruit by Rivals.com and the No. 71 player nationally.
