A few tidbits of randomness left dangling from football’s championship weekend:
•Most years it happens, and most times it’s no less disappointing. The cheap-shots and fisticuffs at the end of games ruins sportsmanship involved.
Yes, they’re high school kids. Yes, in the case of Hamilton, those kids hadn’t lost a game in their high school varsity careers. Yes, we know it’s emotional and devastating to lose a championship game.
Huskies coach Steve Belles repeatedly yapped to his players on the sidelines to cut out all the extracurriculars, and teenagers will be teenagers, but …
